Pale to light brown timber with a pinkish tinge. Straight grained and open texture , with interlocked or wavy grain with fiddleback figure on quatersawn faces. Gum veins are also present. |

There is moderate blunting of cutting edges and tools must be kept sharp, but all machining operations are satisfactory. Screwing, gluing and finishing processes are good. |
