Timber Appearance

General Description   Pale to light brown timber with a pinkish tinge. Straight grained and open texture , with interlocked or wavy grain with fiddleback figure on quatersawn faces. Gum veins are also present.
Working Qualities   There is moderate blunting of cutting edges and tools must be kept sharp, but all machining operations are satisfactory. Screwing, gluing and finishing processes are good.
