Origin   A medium sized hardwood found in all eastern states with considerable occurence in Tasmania.

Timber Appearance

General Description  

heartwood golden brown but often consistently inconsistent in colour,often with bands of dark coloring and sometimes a reddish appearance.Sapwood a distinct pale blaze pattern.

Working Qualities   Texture medium and even, grain usually straight but sometimes wavy producing a fiddleback feature.
